Description
Harold Burton is a sailor in the United States Navy. He is one of the survivors of the Navy Destroyer Blue, that was sunk in the Solomon's shortly before Labor Day. A Japanese torpedo struck the ship. At the time of the explosion, Burton was in gun turret three. He was unconscious for 12 hours before joining other crew members on deck of a rescue vessel. Burton is a native of Fresno, California. He is spending his furlough in Fort Worth, Texas, with one of his Navy pals. He is shown standing in front of a door, dressed in his military uniform.
