Description

A huge column of black smoke and angry flames rose high in the air over Globe Laboratories on Friday. The fire raged through the building but a majority of the portable equipment, and caged animals were saved. The fire began in the rendering plant at the company. A portion of the east wall caved in, but no one was injured.
