Description
Mrs. C. U. Kane has been selected to represent Fort Worth, Texas, in a national contest to select a Typical Navy Mother. Mrs. Kane has two sons serving in the United States Navy - Raymond and James Kane. A third son, Albert Kane, was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Mrs. Kane was elected matron-at-arms of the Navy Mothers' Club. She will compete against Clubs all over the nation for a five-day trip to the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. Mrs. Kane is shown standing next to her fireplace where she displays a tribute to her sons. Mrs. Kane is wearing a dress and a matching jacket.
