Description
Infantile paralysis (polio). Sister Kenny treatments. Jerry Shrader, 2, the patient; around him are Miss Irmadine Allen, supervisor at Harris Memorial Methodist Hospital; Mrs. A. J. Shrader of Fort Stockton; Doctor Charles F. Clayton, and his assistant, Miss Irene Lang. Jerry is laying in a hospital bed while the doctor and the nurses crowd around him. Jerry is laying shirtless as Doctor Clayton inspects him and Miss Lang presses a bandage on Jerry's leg. The other two women stand at the opposite side of the bed and look on. Behind the demonstration is a crowd of seated people also looking on.
