John James Moore, machinist's mate of the Navy Air Corps with his sister, Mrs. Guy Simons. Mrs. Simons is shown sitting on a couch looking on at a newspaper while her brother stands behind the couch and points at the headline on the newspaper. He is dressed in a naval uniform while his sister is wearing a gingham printed jacket and skirt with a blouse underneath. Moore returns home after U.S. victory against Japan.
