Description
Birdville High School students who were winners in the Tarrant County Class A Interscholastic League literary contests, and who will participate in the district meet at Texas Christian University on April 12-13, 1940. The winners are, left to right, Willie Howard, Billie Lee Darden and Eileen Parker, all declaimers, and Anna Pearl Summers, essay writer. They are standing in front of a blank wall and are looking towards their right. The girls are wearing short-sleeve dresses and Billie is wearing trousers and a collared shirt.
