Private Phillip T. Card married Miss Doris Smith Thursday afternoon, November 12, 1942. The wedding almost didn't happen when the groom missed his bus to Fort Worth, Texas. Private Card is stationed at Sheppard Field. He is shown standing on the front lawn, telling his bride the story. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mrs. Card is wearing a hat, coat, and a fur shawl.
