Mrs. Curtis S. Hunter and her 3 years old son, Stanley. Mrs. Hunter is shown sitting next to her son on a couch with a large comic book on both their laps. Mrs. Hunter is smiling widely at her son while he looks on at the camera and smiles slightly. Stankly holds a small crayon in his hand and appears to have started coloring a page from the comic. His mother holds the other crayons in her hands. Mrs. Hunter is wearing a buttoned-up, long-sleeve blouse and Stanley is wearing a striped shirt with a pair overalls.
