Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas is holding a drive to collect scrap metal. Hunting for scraps left to right are Private Victor Wilde, Private Lawrence Chapman, and Mrs. Bryant Caraway. The Privates are dressed in their military uniforms. They found the piece of scrap on Mrs. Caraway's farm. Mrs. Caraway is part of the Balch community in Parker County, Texas. She is wearing a scarf in her hair, blouse, blazer, and trousers, and looking through the metal scrap pile. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 30, 1942.
