Description
Soldiers at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas are holding a drive to collect scrap metal. Sergeant Jack G. Matthews is pointing a seventy-five year old muzzle-loading.50 caliber flintlock gun at the camera. He is steading the gun on top of a sign, advertising the drive. The gun was donated by an elderly farmer. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 3, 1942.
