Description
Mrs. Sol Englender, a native of Germany, is doing what she can to help the war effort. She sold one of her prized possessions - a sedan her husband gave her for their fifth wedding anniversary. With the money, she bought a $1,000 bond and three $100 bonds. Mrs. Englender's nieces escaped from France in 1941 after their father was captured and came to live with her husband and her. Mrs. Englender is posed, wearing a hat and a fur coat. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition October 27, 1942.
