Description

A message from Berlin brought joy to the household of Richard Simon, 3214 McLean, Friday. Mrs. Simon, her 2-year old daughter Simone and Mrs. Lewis Winter of the Red Cross Motor Corps are pictured here. Both women are sharing an armchair. Mrs. Richard Simon is holding her daughter in her lap while Mrs. Winter is typing Mrs. Simon's reply using a typewriter. Mrs. Simon is looking on at Mrs. Winter's typing. Baby Simone is holding her favorite doll. Mrs. Simon is wearing a gingham-printed, sleeveless dress with a lace top underneath; Mrs. Winter is wearing a Red Cross uniform and Simone is wearing a small dress. The room is decorated nicely. Behind the scene is a fireplace with a framed picture on the mantle. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 17, 1942.
