Group of 6th graders at the Lily B. Clayton School, Fort Worth, Texas, taking the oath of the Junior Texas Rangers. Students (left to right) are Dan Daggett, Jane Everett, Carolyn Cox and Lynn Frederick. The children are standing in a classroom, right arms raised in pledge formation. The girls are wearing skirts and blouses. The boys are wearing what might be Boy Scouts of America uniforms. This photograph we published in the October 2, 1942 evening edition of the Star-Telegram.
