Description

Mark McGee, Texas OPA director, celebrating his birthday. "Mark McGee, Texas Office of Price Administration (O. P. A.) director, was besieged by his office force Monday morning when they swarmed around his desk, showered him with gifts and burst into singing 'Happy Birthday to You.'" Mr. McGee is sitting at his desk and wearing a toy military helmet and toy badge. He is smoking a cigar and holding a baton. Several toys are lying on his desk, including a baby doll, a football, a toy plane, a toy "Coke" dump truck, a toy gun, a toy cash register, jacks, a toy hammer, and more. There is also a birthday card, what appears to be a letter, and what may be an unrolled cigarette. Mr. McGee is smiling a big smile and looking into the camera.
