Description
Not all of the fighting in this war is being done in the Solomons or at Dieppe, members of the Quartermaster Corps reminded members of the armed forces and those at home. The reminder came in the form of "An Open Letter to Johnny Doughboy," written by Miss Linda McGee of Fort Worth, a member of the public relations staff of the QMC Fort Worth Deport, and one time Fort Worth representative in the My Home Town contest sponsored by the West Texas Chamber of Commerce. In this picture, Miss Linda McGee is sitting at a desk typing at a typewriter. A small clutch is also sitting on the desk. McGee is wearing a a plaid suit with light colored collared shirt. She also has a pin with a face on it. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 4, 1942.
