Description
Monroe Odom, who Thursday starts his sixteenth year selling The Star-Telegram at the Worth Hotel entrance. He was there to help open the doors of the hotel on September 24, 1927. Odom has been a news vendor longer than others who have served in this spot. He is wearing an apron, holding a stack of newspapers in his left hand and one newspaper raised up in his right hand, ready to sell. He is wearing a straw hat, short-sleeved shirt and trousers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 24, 1942.
