The Panther City Philatelic Society is hosting their annual exhibit and banquet in Fort Worth, Texas. Some of the items on display will include these four stamps from Mexico and Costa Rica. The 10-cent (Mexican currency) stamp at the top left is promoting the second annual Inter-American Agricultural Conference which took place July 6-16, 1942. The image in the center is of two hands holding a torch. The text on the stamp reads (in Spanish): "Conferencia InterAmericana De Agricultura Del 6 Al 16 De Julio De 1942 / Correos Mexico." The stamp at the top right is a 5-cent stamp from Costa Rica. The image in the center is of a flag with a letter "V" and a torch in the middle. Beneath the center flag is an arrangement of several smaller flags. Text at the top of the stamp reads: "Correos Costa Rica Defensa-Continental." Small text at the bottom of the stamp reads: "American Bank Note Company." The stamp at the bottom left is a 5-cent stamp from Mexico. The image is of a woman holding a sickle and at the bottom corner is a single stalk of wheat. The text is also promoting the Inter-American Agricultural Conference. The stamp at the bottom right is a 2-cent stamp from Mexico. The image is of a woman and a farm landscape. The text is also promoting the Inter-American Agricultural Conference.
