Description

These firemen, one an auxiliary, are preparing for a picnic Monday night at Fire Station 17. They are shown getting ready for a hot weather picnic by opening up 'Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches'. From left to right, are Captain (Capt.) A. L. Korn of Station 17, Ray Rhoades, secretary of Station 17, auxiliary firemen, and Chief A. E. Rodgers, head of the Fire Department Civilian Defense setup. The fourth man (right) is not identified. All are wearing shirts and trousers. Captain Korn is wearing a hat and eyeglasses. Chief Rodgers is wearing a necktie and eyeglasses.
