Henry R. Luce Party at Shady Oak Farm. Mrs. Ruth Googins Roosevelt. She is wearing a skirt, a long sleeve blouse, and boots. She is mounted on top of a horse and is holding on to the lead with her left hand and has her left foot in the horse stirrups as she laughs and poses for the camera. There are other unidentified people in the background watching and another horse statue and a statue of a native Indian in the distance. She is outdoors in front of a building that has a roof with the word “strangers†in full view. The horse has a decorative saddle and bridle.
