Description
Ed Lackey, left, and Bill Sodd are amateur baseball players with the Consolidated Aircraft Bombers. Lackey will bat fourth for the American League All-Stars Wednesday night. The men were photographed as they went through an after work drill. They are crouching in the grass next to a fence. Mr. Lackey is wearing a baseball cap, a long-sleeve shirt, trousers and is holding a bat. Mr. Sodd is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt, trousers and is also carrying a baseball bat.
