Highlights from the twelfth annual Star-Telegram Carrier-Salesmen Demonstration and Show Friday night at Arlington Heights High School is this group of boys who are the four highest carrier-salesmen in scholarship the past year. They are looking at a cablegram they sent (at the request of the 441 other carrier-salesmen) to Lieutenant Amon Carter Junior in Ireland. Left to right, Cortell Holsapple, Ray Greene, winner of the Amon Carter Junior scholarship to Texas Christian University; Billy White and Joe Bateman. Holsapple, White and Batemen were each given a $25 war bond. Greene is sitting at a table, while the other three boys are leaning over the desk looking at the cablegram.
