    Description

    Cover Collectors of America convention cachet envelope issued by the Postal Service to commemorate the group's third convention, October 23-25, 1942 in Tulsa Oklahoma. The cache features a Pony Express rider and horse and a train. The dates 1776 and 1876 are included. There is also the phrase "War dates, June 25-26-27" split between the left and right sides of the cachet. The commemorative postage stamp was issued for the 60th anniversary of the Pony Express. This photograph was published in the July 5, 1942 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
