Old and new in music education. Those who have arrived at national eminence and those who are coming up are shown as they attend the Texas Music Teachers Association convention. The girls are student officers for the Applied Music Students Conference and the men are judges of the advanced students' contests sponsored by the association. Standing, left to right, Mary Evelyn Pickle, Alfred Mirovitch, Virginia Belle Gamble, Solon Alberti and Mary Alice Hooten. The girls are all from Lubbock and the dignitaries from New York.
