Description

"Isom J. Wren (right), Boyd, Texas druggist, new president of the Springtown Reunion Association, is shown receiving the historic reunion gavel from J. D. Hutcheson of Springtown, who presided as acting president at the annual reunion Sunday." The two are standing in front of an American flag. Mr. Hutcheson is looking directly at Mr. Wren and handing him the gavel handle, his own hands still firmly on the gavel head. Mr. Wren appears to be in the middle of saying something. He is looking off into the distance and holding the gavel by the handle.
