    Description

"In dress shops, department stores, groceries, tobacco shops, drug stores and retail establishments of every classification, regional Office of Price Administration (O. P. A.) investigators began a check here Friday of compliance with price-posting requirements. Investigator J. A. Marsh (center) points out some of the regulations to R. L. Gass, drug store manager, while T. G. Clawson, supervising investigator, stands by." Mr. Gass is holding a book which is facing him, appearing to read the text. Mr. Marsh is using a pencil to point to a paragraph in the book, intensely gazing at Mr. Gass. Meanwhile, Mr. Clawson observes over Mr. Marsh's shoulder. A Pepsodent toothbrush display is standing on a case just behind Mr. Gass and Mr. Marsh. Boxes, bottles and signs line the high shelves of the room.
