"Helen Louise Flowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Flowers of Pleasant Run, was recently valedictorian of her school class and won first place in a country declamation contest. Her parents gave her two war bonds for her good school record." Helen is wearing a polo shirt with a relatively large embroidered pony on the left breast pocket and detail around the waist.
