    "Helen Louise Flowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Flowers of Pleasant Run, was recently valedictorian of her school class and won first place in a country declamation contest. Her parents gave her two war bonds for her good school record." Helen is wearing a polo shirt with a relatively large embroidered pony on the left breast pocket and detail around the waist. She is wearing her dark hair up, holding her war bonds, and smiling as she looks into the camera.
