Description
"J. O. Lane and one of his favorite snakes- Charlie, a bull snake, who went out to see the town one time and had Fifteenth Street wondering if pink elephants would be next." Mr. Lane is sitting in a rocking chair and holding his beloved pal, Charlie, for the camera. Mr. Lane is wearing a light-colored button-up shirt, suspenders, light-colored slacks, and a Western-style hat. There appear to be a pack of cigarettes stuffed in his left breast-pocket. The house behind him is likely his own. A handful of plants provide some coverage.
