    Description

    Reserve Officers' Training Corps (R. O. T. C.) cadets at Camp Dallas. The cadets are members of the Third Battalion, composed of 135 students from Fort Worth high schools. The soldiers are (front) Lieutenant Colonel Miles Vaughan of Polytechnic High School. Others, left to right, are Captains James Nesbitt, Amon Carter Riverside High School, Billy Byas and Eddie Engleman, both of North Side High School, Louie Turner and Joe Phillips, both students at Paschal High School. The soldiers are in uniform, standing and holding bayonets. This photograph was published in the June 12, 1942 evening edition of the Star-Telegram.
