Description
Mrs. William J. Sparks is sitting in a rocking chair holding an old ledger book of her late husband, the affectionately nicknamed "country doctor," William J. Sparks of Poolville, Texas. "Mrs. William J. Sparks, widow of Poolville's late beloved "country doctor," is shown here with one of his old ledger books." Mrs. Sparks is wearing a simple floral pattern dress without any jewelry. She is looking somberly at the ledger book. To her side is a radio. Behind her, a clock, chigger lotion, a jar, a book, and other miscellaneous objects are resting on a covered piece of furniture, perhaps a sewing machine.
