    Description

Monsignor Joseph O'Donohoe, Sunday observed his twenty-fifth anniversary in the priesthood as pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he was baptized, confirmed and sang his first mass. Rev. Charles W. Smid of Denton preached the commemoration sermon. Monsignor O'Donohoe, pastor of St. Patrick's since 1940, dedicated the mass as a thanksgiving to God, the same dedication he made when he celebrated his first mass 25 years ago, and described Sunday's observance as the "happiest day in my life." Corporal Jack de Falco of Camp Wolters was soloist. Left to right, Reverend Charles W. Smid of Denton, Texas, and Corporal Jack de Falco of Camp Wolters, who attended the celebration. Reverend Smid is wearing his vestments. Corporal de Falco is wearing his army uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition June 08, 1942.
