Description
Mrs. A. E. Harper in her kitchen. "Mrs. A. E. Harper, 2308 Aster Street, a bride of two weeks, demonstrates a new patriotic kitchen practice-careful saving of all grease. Grease (hats of any kind) go into the making of soap and a by-product is glycerin. Uncle Sam needs glycerin". Mrs. Harper appears to the left of the photograph holding a pan with her right hand as she pours the grease into a container that is sitting next to her stove. She is wearing a plaid dress, and a white with black polka dot apron. She is smiling and looking to he left of the camera. The stove that she is standing at is white with a black cooking surface. There appears to be a stainless steel tea kettle next to the stove. The wall behind the stove appears to be covered with a white sheet, and there is a raised counter behind her. Beyond the raised counter is an area with squared wallpaper.
