"Avengers of Pearl Harbor." Mrs. Alfred E. Coffey signing up O. C. Heairren, 21, of Breckenridge, Texas. "Even an army wife was boosting the Navy's "Avengers of Pearl Harbor" company here Thursday as USO workers were stationed in theater lobbies to give out information about the service. Mrs. Alfred E. Coffey (above), 3800 Clarke Avenue, wife of an army captain now in Australia, signed up O. C. Heairren, 21, of Breckenridge, along with several other good prospects". Mrs. Coffey appears towards the center of the photograph. She is wearing a button up shirt with two breast pockets, big buttons, and a white collar. Her hair is pulled back, she is wearing a Navy Recruit Service arm band, and is holding a pen and piece of paper. Her wedding ring is visible on her left ring finger, and her watch is visible on her left wrist. She is leaned over a counter and is looking at Mr. Heairren and smiling. To the left of the picture is Mr. Heairren. He is wearing a white button up shirt with a undershirt slightly visible, has a pen in his left breast pocket and a watch on his left wrist, and is wearing slacks with a thin belt. He is leaned against the counter and is looking at Mrs. Coffey. On the counter you can see pieces of paper about the Navy. In the background you can see banners and signs about recruiting services.
