Description
No matter how serious the occasion, the tail twister of a Lion Club must have his fun. Here P. Taylor of the East Fort Worth Lions Club, left, presents International President George R. Jordan with a rooster, The presentation was made at a luncheon meeting at Hotel Texas. There was quite a commotion when the international president was unable to hold the rooster and the bird flew around the banquet hall looking for a safe place to light. Taylor is wearing a light colored suit, shirt and necktie. Jordan is wearing a dark blazer and necktie and light colored shirt and trousers. Jordan also has a handkerchief in his left breast pocket. An unidentified man is sitting in the left corner of the portrait. An United States flag is on a pole in the far right of the portrait. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening, June 3, 1942.
