State OPA director Mark McGee, right, and Samuel M. Ray, representative of U. S. Civil Service Commission. "Jobseekers were numerous as establishment of the new state Office of Price Administration headquarters here was begun Monday with transfer of the state rationing office from Austin. Scanning some of the applications are State OPA Director Mark McGee (right) and Samuel M. Ray, representative of the United States Civil Service Commission. Ray was sent here from Houston to handle job applications for the new agency, which will occupy parts of two floors of the Fort Worth Club Building". Mr. Ray is located on the left side of the photograph. He is wearing a striped suit with peaked lapels and a handkerchief in his left breast pocket. He has on a white collared shirt under with a light colored tie. He is sitting behind a desk with his arms folded on the desk in front of him on some papers. Mr Ray is looking down and smiling as he looks at a piece of paper Mr. McGee is holding and pointing at. Mr. McGee is located on the right side of the photograph and is behind the same desk as Mr. Ray with a stack of papers and a desk pad in front of him. He is wearing a grey suit with peaked lapels, a handkerchief in his left breast pocket, a white collared shirt, and a tie with a pattern of lines going in different directions. He is wearing glasses, there is a pin located on his left lapel, a watch located on his left wrist, and a lit cigar in his left hand between his middle and pointer fingers. Mr. McGee is looking down at a piece of paper that he is holding with his left hand and is pointing at the paper with his right hand. In the background you can see another desk with filing boxes located on it, and a window with closed blinds.
