Description
Flags. Flags Americas, Great Britain and China in yard of Albert C. White. Each Sunday from now until Flag Day, June 14, the flags of the Americas, Great Britian and China will fly from standards on the lawn of the Albert C. White home, 302 North Elm Street. Upon this country's declaration of war, White hoisted a large American flag atop the large flagpole in his yard. Each morning at sunrise it is unfurled. Each day at sunset it is lowered. When President Roosevelt asked the flags of the United Nations be honored also on Flag Day, and locally the Business and Professional Men's Post No. 14, American Legion, began sponsorship of the movement, White got busy and made the flags for his lawn corner. It is, he says, an expression of his patriotism and loyalty.
