Description

The Catholic Community Center in Fort Worth, Texas is hosting a Saturday night dance. Corporal Joe Reith is selected as the "handsomest soldier". He is surrounded by 4 women who were judges of the contest, left to right Geraldine Moore, Irene Rupprecht, Mary Clement, and Rebecca Hembree. Corporal Reith is a soldier in Company A, 58th Training Battalion at Camp Wolters, originally from Glendale, California. He is dressed in his military uniform as he receives a carton of cigarettes as his prize. The ladies are members of the Victory Girls Dance Committee. Miss Moore is wearing a collared dress and a bow in her hair. Miss Rupprecht is dressed in a button-up blouse with a lace collar. Miss Clement is dressed in a blouse and a checkered skirt. Miss Hembree is wearing a button-up floral dress. There are two portraits hanging on the wall and an American flag in the background.
