Description
John A. Nichols has been transferred to Fort Worth by the Texas Company as a member of the firm's land department in the West Texas - New Mexico division, with headquarters here. He had been district land man at Midland, and pioneered in the early days of the Permian Basim for Texaco, having been stationed in West Texas for 1921 to 1929 and again for the past six years. He has been with Texaco for 22 years. After spending the period from 1921 to 1929 in West Texas, Nichols was shifted to Fort Worth, Wichita Falls and then back to the Basin. Mr. Nichols appears on the left side of the photograph wearing a dark wool suit, with a white undershirt, and black tie. He appears to have his hair slicked back and wears metal rimmed glasses. He has a pen in the left breast pocket and is staring to his left.
