The cancellation bearing the words "Air Mail" is being used in Chicago, Illinois on first-class air mail packages. Fort Worth, Texas Postmaster Young suggests the cancellation is being used at Chicago's chief airport station for speedy handling. The cancellation stamp consists of four heavy "killer bars" with no slogan. This photograph was published in the May 24, 1942 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
