"Sam Laves was elected high priest of the South Side Chapter 378, Royal Arch Masons, and thrice illustrious master of South Side Council 315, Royal and Select Masters Thursday night." Mr. Laves is wearing a medium-toned double-breasted suit with peaked lapels, a checked undershirt, and floral pattern tie, and an airplane lapel pin. He has one arm behind his back, he is wearing his hair slicked into a small pompadour, and he is gazing without expression into the camera.
