Description
Leon Pope (left), son of Scoutmaster T. L. Pope of Troop 161, Euless, and Bill Corley, shown with hive of bees. Leon watches Bill, another troop member, demonstrating the proper method of dealing with bees. The swarm was captured in the Pope orchard near Euless, Texas. The boys are wearing their boy scout uniforms in addition to Bill wearing a beekeeping hat and veil. Between them is a wooden crate with the hive of bees inside of it. Bill is holding an item in his hands while Leon leans onto the crate. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 9, 1942.
