    Description

    Image shows Two of the cubs born to Forest Park Zoo lioness, Ginger, have found new homes. They are shown with their new owners left to right Lieutenant H. F. Webster, Mrs. Webster, and Lieutenant W. N. Hawkes. Lieutenant Webster and Lieutenant Hawkes are Navy officers attached to the American Airlines training school at the Municipal Airport. They'll keep the cubs at the Worth Hotel, where they are staying while in town. Once they are older, the cubs will be given to a zoo. Lieutenant Webster is holding one of the cubs. He and Lieutenant Hawkes are dressed in their military uniforms. Mrs. Webster is holding the other cub. She is wearing a sweater an a skirt. The group is standing in front of a brick wall that's covered in vines. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition April 16, 1942.
