Description
Public induction of 22 men into the Marine Corps. "The induction of 22 men into the United States marines on the stage of the Worth Theater last Saturday night was an impressive sight, as this picture indicates. The ceremony was held in connection with the showing of "To the Shoes of Tripoli," a story of the marine corps. Several officers of the corps took part in the ceremony." The first few rows are fill with people who are standing. The stage is nearly full, with most of the people in formal wear, but several are wearing military uniforms. Nearly everyone's head is down, perhaps they are observing a moment of silence. There are both an organ and piano in the orchestra pit, along with a few potted palms. Art Deco columns frame the stage.
