Description
View of Army Day Parade at downtown Fort Worth. Crack troops of the 155th Infantry Regiment, 31st Division, paraded downtown Fort Worth Monday morning between crowd-lined sidewalks. Shown here is part of the 297 military vehicles in the parade, which included peeps, jeeps, mobile artillery, motorized machine gun details, ambulances and antiaircraft units. The pavement is glistening from the rain. Jeeps are driving down the road in two neat rows. Most spectators are braving the rain and standing on the periphery of the street, although a few are peeking from underneath the awnings. Several downtown buildings with their storefront signs can be seen. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 6, 1942.
