Description
A. W. Lauritzen (left) and J. E. Barr measuring one of the folding legs for a bed tray. Mr. Lauritzen is wearing a long-sleeve shirt with a patterned tie and a dark vest over-top and trousers, and Mr. Barr is wearing a long-sleeve, striped shirt, a tie, trousers and a pair of eyeglasses. Mr. Lauritzen is also smoking a pipe. Mr. Barr is holding the legs of the tray as Mr. Lauritzen measures with a ruler. In front of them is a table saw and behind them the rest of the room, including large planks of wood leaned up against the walls, can be seen. They were among the men who worked out of R. W. Fender's basement room which he converted to a woodworking area, to help make wood furnishings for soldiers staying in the hospital at Camp Wolters.
