Description
"Mac," grand champion steer of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show for which the Pabst Brewing Company paid $2 a pound, is shown being registered in at Hotel Texas. Hotel manager Henry Love, right, is handing a key to a bell boy (left), while R. G. Brantley, of Dallas, Texas, center, district manager of the Pabst Sales Company, supplies the information for the hotel registry. Love is wearing a striped suit, the bell boy is dressed in his uniform, and Brantley is wearing a fedora, eyeglasses, and a dark suit. Brantley is also smoking a cigar as he stands beside the steer. "Mac" is resting its head on the hotel's front desk and appears to be drooling. In the background are several people gathered in the hotel lobby.
