Description
This life-size oil portrait of Doctor Lee R. Scarborough, who will retire in August of 1942 as president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, was unveiled at commencement exercises at the seminary. It was painted by Mrs. L. M. Rice, of Austin, Texas, and will hang in the reception parlor of Cowden Hall at the seminary. In the portrait Doctor Scarborough is standing and wearing a three-piece suit and eyeglasses. He has his left hand in the pocket of his trousers.
