Description
The first concrete goes down on the west half of the new Hemphill Street paving, with workmen hard at it in the area between Biddison and Shaw and moving northward at the rate of about 900 feet daily. The 54-foot streetway is ready for concrete as far north as Page Street and the east side will be paved as soon as the west strip is completed.
