    Jean Ewers, 12, high eighth grade student at Rosemont Junior High School. Miss Ewers wrote a theme essay for an English assignment in which she pictures the civilian population of the United States as "the army behind the army," and pleads for a united front for freedom. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Ewers of 3640 Sixth Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas. She is standing in front of a bare wall, wearing a blazer, a blouse and a skirt.
