Description
The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in a semi-final bout are Loy Billy and Hector Marquez (standing). Billy is a Native American from Camp Barkeley. He hit the deck four times during the first round. Marquez, a representative of El Paso, Texas, came out of the gate firing. After the first round, Billy found his footing and managed to secure the win. A cameraman is shown leaning over the edge of the ring, to get a shot of the action.
