Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the heavyweight division, left to right, are Corporal J. Olcott Phillips and Austin O'Jibway. Phillips is standing over his opponent, preparing to throw a right hook. O'Jibway is crouched over and is attempting to hold off Phillips' attack with a stiff arm. Phillips went on to win the match and the heavyweight championship title.
